Practicing personal injury law, we see the devastating impact that injuries have on people and their families. Many lives are ruined and families are torn apart after a serious personal injury. Our clients place their trust in us to deliver the best service we possibly can and we take this responsibility seriously.
This caused me to assess and become proactive about my own health and the health and wellness of the great team that I work with. The way I see it, we cannot help our clients if we are ignoring our own well-being [tweet this]. When we are healthy, we are available and have the energy needed to work diligently on behalf of our clients.
Because of this, we’ve created the WJT Wellness program at our firm. Through our program, everyone on our team has access to their own firm-funded individualized health and wellness initiative.
For me personally, it’s my daily gym workouts. The 1-2 hours that I spend sweating in the gym in the early morning hours of the day is a time of physical and mental focus. It jump starts my day and prepares me for the tasks that lay ahead of me.
Over the next several weeks, we will be giving you a snapshot into the WJT Wellness program as seen through the eyes of our team. A couple of our team members are trying something new and I hope they will discover not only an increase in their well-being, but elements of courage, hope and perseverance as well.
We hope you will join us on this health and wellness journey.
Perhaps, if you haven’t thought about your own health and wellness, in some small way our stories may encourage you to take that step. I promise you, you won’t regret it. After all, what do you have to lose?
